Hey, did you see the eclipse today? Amazing. The moon is EXACTLY the right size, and the right shape and the right distance, to block out the WHOLE SUN, leaving just the corona. The odds of this happening so exactly are enormous.
Did you know the moon is slowly spinning away from Earth? It goes away about as fast as your fingernails grow - but if you think of a million years from now, it will be quite a distance further away.
And if you go back in time a million years the moon would be much closer... er, wait a moment, if it was muchcloser, it would be crushed by Earth's gravity. That means there shouldn't be a moon where it is, if its really that old. It must he appeared where it is not long ago.
It must be very young!
